Environmental Association

In 2004, Environmental Association Limited initiated a protection and conservation program for the butterflies at Fung Yuen, Hong Kong. In November 2005, the Environment and Conservation Fund sponsored a “Pilot Scheme of Management Agreements Project on the Private Land with High Conservation Value at Fung Yuen Valley Site of Special Scientific Interest”, part of the “New Nature Conservation Policy” pilot scheme for the duration of two years. The project has proved a success Management Agreement scheme, and Fung Yuen Butterfly Reserve carries on their mission on ecological, biodiversity and environmental conservation.

Purpose –  

• To promote and promote education and awareness of environmental conservation

• Encourage the public to pay attention to environmental issues and participate in environmental conservation work to improve the environment in which they live

• Facilitate the participation of residents in local affairs, and at the same time, take Hong Kong into consideration and encourage residents to participate in Hong Kong-wide and global environmental and social affairs

• Provide constructive comments and suggestions on environmental issues in Hong Kong
